I was just reading this post on a client’s Costa Rica Vacation Rentals website titled "Valentines Day Recipe for Success in Costa Rica" and realized that I’d not shared this information with you yet.
Costa Rica is indeed a fantastic couples travel destination – the list of options for activities, attractions and cultural events is never-ending so there’s always something to do. Head up the coast to Tamarindo & Langosta and you’ve hit Tropical Nirvana featuring dense, lush jungles and active volcanoes to explore and some of the best surfing in Central America.
For South Africans most of Central America is visa free and you can enjoy a stay of up to 90 days in most countries including Colombia, Nicaragua and Panama. My girlfriend and I just got back from 18 months in Central America and cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. Traveling together was an awesome experience we’d both care to repeat very soon.
Costa Rica is definitely on my hit list. Great beaches, great surfing and not too expensive either.
I’ve always wanted to travel to Costa Rica. It seems like a great place to visit!
@SamSteven @LauraC If you’re looking for fun in the sun, then Guanacaste in NW of Costa Rica is the business, it’s not too busy (except for a short tourist season) and close to Nicaragua which also has awesome surf and is just a short inexpensive bus trip away.
Many people visit Yellowstone with only a week’s vacation. I am hoping in your 3-5 days you are planning on flying there. If you are driving then you do not have the time for the park and shouldn’t consider it.
The quality of their health care system is ranked slightly above the United States. U.S. citizens can legally own land there, and it’s relatively cheap to live there. Overall, it’s not a dangerous place and the Costa Ricans are American-friendly.
